Privacy policy
How EV-EL handles your personal data when you charge, are a Fair 'n' Share member or visit ev-el.dk.
Who is responsible
EV-EL ApS, CVR 42541559, Lipkesgade 25, 2. 1, 2100 København Ø, Denmark, is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have questions, write to [email protected].
When you charge
Our chargers run on the charging platform Spirii. When you charge, Spirii records the time, the charger, the kWh and the price. If you pay by card at the charger or in Spirii Go, Spirii and the payment provider process your payment details. EV-EL does not see your card details.
The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to deliver the charge to you (General Data Protection Regulation, Article 6(1)(b)).
When you are a Fair 'n' Share member
When you sign up, we keep your name, e-mail, mobile number and, if you charge for a company, the CVR number and company name. We also keep your consents with the time and IP address.
You get a voucher code that you use in Spirii Go or with your RFID card or key fob. With the code, we fetch your charges from Spirii and use them to calculate your level, your Eco status and your discount. You see it all on My page and in your monthly statement.
If you charge for a company or in a group, the administrator can see the usage of everyone in the group.
The legal basis is that the processing is necessary to deliver the membership to you (Article 6(1)(b)).
Codes and messages
When you sign up or log in, we send a one-time code by SMS. When you sign up, we also send a code by e-mail.
We send messages about your membership: your voucher code, changes in level and Eco, reminders about your level and a monthly statement. You can switch off the messages about level, Eco, reminders and the statement under Settings on My page. We always send the codes and your voucher code, because you cannot use the membership without them.
News and offers
We only send news and offers if you have said yes to them. You can withdraw your consent at any time under Settings on My page or by writing to [email protected]. We then stop at once.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a), and section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act).
When you write to us
If you write to us, we use your information to answer you. We keep your message for as long as it is needed to solve your case.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in being able to answer you (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who receives your data
We never sell your data. We only share it with the suppliers who need it to deliver the service:
- Spirii, our charging platform
- Bluebell ApS, which runs the website and Fair 'n' Share for us
- an SMS provider in Denmark
- an e-mail provider
- a hosting provider with servers in the EU
They only process the data on our behalf and under an agreement with us. Everything is processed in the EU, except e-mail: our e-mail provider can process your e-mail address and the content of the e-mails we send you in the USA. This happens under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

How we protect your data
All traffic to ev-el.dk is encrypted. Only the people who run the platform have access to the data, and we take a backup every day. There is no password that can be stolen: you log in with a one-time code by SMS.
Cookies
We only use these four cookies. You can always change your choice under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

All four are set by EV-EL itself and are not shared with anyone. You can always delete or block cookies in your browser. If you delete them, you are logged out, and the cookie message shows again.
Your rights
You have the right to see the data we hold about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or handed over to you. You can also ask us to restrict the processing or object to it, and you can always withdraw a consent.
You can correct your details and delete your membership yourself under Settings on My page. Otherwise, write to [email protected].
If you are not satisfied with how we process your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.
Changes
We update the policy when the platform changes. The current version is always here. Members are told about important changes by e-mail or SMS.
